The route connected two Hampton Roads communities across open water, but the distance was only part of the story. The swim was organized as a fundraiser honoring an officer who lost his life in Virginia Beach.
A support boat followed the crossing while the radio team, cameras and a crowd waited on the Hampton shoreline. These recovered prints capture the boat on the water, the Buckroe Beach setup and Shaggy surrounded by people and media after reaching land.
