Shaggy
Brandon “Shaggy” Stokes is a Hampton Roads broadcaster, event creator and community advocate whose connection to the 757 has always reached far beyond the radio. For more than 25 years—nearly his entire adult life—he has lived publicly and used his voice, energy and platform to bring people together.
More than a radio personality

Shaggy built his career by showing up—on the air, inside local schools, at concerts, throughout neighborhoods and wherever the community needed a voice. His style blends music, humor, honest conversation and a genuine love for the people who call Hampton Roads home.
He created Shaggfest to place local talent on the same stage as major national artists. He also founded Shaggy Stuff the Bus, a holiday tradition now 21 years strong that has collected more than one million toys for local children.
Whether he is behind a microphone, producing an event or helping a community idea come to life, the goal remains the same: create unforgettable moments, open doors for others and make the 757 feel seen.

A father first, Shaggy’s biggest motivation has always been his sons. They have grown up alongside his public journey, sharing the moments, events and community traditions that became part of their family story. The next chapter brings family, music and community together through new ideas and the same commitment to showing up for the 757.
A birthday they will never forget
The relationships became memories.
Shaggy's world has always extended beyond music and radio. Over the years, real friendships grew from the work—including one with Virginia, Virginia Tech and NFL legend Michael Vick.
For Brody's birthday, Mike drove to the family home, signed footballs and threw a few passes with Brody and Bentley. It was not a public appearance or a staged event. It was a friend helping a father create a lasting memory for his kids.
