A festival born from the community.
Shaggfest did not begin with a giant stage. It grew from two music expos Shaggy created at his former high school—first in September 2010 and again in February 2011. The events connected emerging artists with radio leaders, producers and record labels while helping support the school's music program.
Those two rooms proved Virginia artists, music leaders and fans would come together when someone created the opportunity. Later in 2011, Shaggy launched Shaggfest.
